Investigative Committee Denies Participation of Russian Lawmaker's Son in Murder

The Investigative Committee of the Moscow Region has denied the involvement of State Duma lawmaker's son, hockey player Artem Ivanyuzhenkov, in the murder of a young man at a café in Podolsk, according to committee representative Olga Vradie.

The Sochi hockey club also announced that on March 10 and 11, the club's players were training at the Bolshoy Sports Palace. According to a teammate, Artem Ivanyuzhenkov participated in the training session before the athletes left. The hockey player has released a video from Sochi, stating that he has been in Sochi for three days and has no connection to the murder attributed to him.

It is worth mentioning that, according to IZ.ru, the crime occurred at a café where a group of young people were celebrating a birthday. Another group was seated at a nearby table. At some point, the two groups converged, and everything was calm until an argument broke out. During the altercation, one of the youths was stabbed and died.

Some eyewitnesses claim that the attacker was Artem Ivanyuzhenkov, who disappeared after the incident. It is known that the victim was a citizen born in 1999. The motive for the crime remains unknown.
