Fire Consumes House in Artsakh at Midnight; Body Discovered
On March 12, at exactly midnight, the crisis management center of the Martuni regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received simultaneous reports from the police about a fire that broke out in the territory of the Emishchan community. According to preliminary information, a residential house is burning.
As informed by the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs, a firefighting unit was immediately dispatched to the scene. Subsequently, considering the scale of the fire, another firefighting unit was sent for assistance at 12:15 AM.
The fire was contained by 1:20 AM and fully extinguished by 3:00 AM. The two-story house was partially burned, and in the bedroom of the second floor, the body of 62-year-old V.G. was discovered. Preliminary data suggest that the cause of the fire was a wood-burning stove.
