Video: Hakob Arshakyan Gifts Two 'Chupa Chups' to Female MPs of the CPP on March 8

The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports that the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Hakob Arshakyan, presented 'Chupa Chups' to female MPs of the CPP in connection with March 8.

To give his gift an 'official' appearance, he delivered them in special bags featuring the National Assembly logo. Arshakyan took these bags from the Assembly's staff, as the National Assembly periodically orders bags and keeps them in stock for gifting during visits or other events.

The women from the CPP mocked Arshakyan's action, with some even tossing the 'Chupa Chups' he gifted into the trash, considering it a disrespectful act toward them. During a conversation, the women expressed their dissatisfaction, noting that even young children would not be given such gifts.

Interestingly, some members of the CPP attempted to defend Arshakyan yesterday, suggesting that he had been in India for a week and that perhaps his assistants or the deputy speaker's staff were responsible for this embarrassment. Regardless, the incident is described as a disgrace by the CPP regarding the gift received by female colleagues from Deputy Speaker Hakob Arshakyan.
