Mass protests have erupted in Paris against pension reforms, as reported by RIA Novosti.

The demonstrations are organized by various youth organizations, including student associations. Young socialist, leftwing, and environmental political parties have also joined the actions. The protesters oppose the increase in the retirement age and demand the government take measures to protect the social welfare of young people.

In France, young people are conducting massive strikes across nearly all sectors of the economy, including energy and transportation, in opposition to raising the retirement age from 62 to 64.

On March 7, nationwide protests took place in France, with an estimated 1.2 million participants, according to the Ministry of Interior.

French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne presented a bill on January 10 that proposes increasing the retirement age and eliminating “special” regimes for several complex professions.
