Ned Price to Depart from U.S. State Department Spokesperson Position, Reports Say
Ned Price, the spokesperson for the State Department, will leave his position on March 17. This was reported by NBC on Tuesday, citing TASS.
According to the source, Price will work under the direct supervision of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
It was noted that Vedant Patel, the deputy director of the State Department's press office, will temporarily assume the responsibilities of the spokesperson.
Ned Price, who also served as a spokesperson for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Security Council during President Barack Obama's administration, stated that the new position takes him back to where his career began.
Blinken confirmed the change in leadership of the State Department's press office in his statement, expressing gratitude to Price for his work.
