Video: It’s not a backyard fight to stand on the sidelines; we say negotiate with each other - RPA MP on defending Artsakh from Azerbaijan

We have reached an agreement with our colleagues that Artsakh and Azerbaijan should negotiate about their future. RPA MP Vigen Khachatryan stated this in an interview with Mediahub.am.

"Azerbaijan perceives this as integration, meaning it does not accept that there is a political entity there. Artsakh is resisting this and is right to say that we have self-determined and must talk about our right to self-determination. We have stated that we cannot impose anything on Artsakh. Whatever decision Artsakh makes, we will defend that decision," he said.

When asked how Armenia leaves Artsakh alone with Azerbaijan, which openly conducts ethnic cleansing policies, while Artsakh cannot defend itself alone, the MP pointed out: "It’s not a backyard fight to stand on the sidelines."

"Artsakh is a self-proclaimed state that no one recognizes, not even Azerbaijan. We have come to the point where we say, let’s negotiate with each other. Baku is the one refusing to negotiate with Artsakh," he added.
