94-Year-Old Woman Beaten by 21-Year-Old Dies in Hospital
On March 2, the police's operational management center in the Tavush region received a report from the "Noyemberyan" medical center regarding a 94-year-old resident of Koghb village, who was admitted with a diagnosis of "traumatic brain injury, contusion, and laceration wounds." A neighbor of the elderly woman informed the police that she had seen her lying on the floor of the living room.
Thanks to coordinated operational-investigative measures by the Tavush regional police department and the Noyemberyan division, the identity of the person who caused bodily harm to the 94-year-old woman was established. A 21-year-old resident of the Koghb settlement was located and arrested.
A criminal case was initiated. On March 7, at 00:45, the Noyemberyan police department received a report from the "Noyemberyan" medical center that the 94-year-old woman, beaten by a fellow villager, had died.
The criminal proceedings are ongoing.
