How Much Tax Did the Businessman Who Bought 'Golden Palace' Hide from the State Revenue Committee
Owner of the 'Golden Palace' hotel and former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan's wealthy buyer, new Armenian businessman Narek Nalbandyan, has come under the scrutiny of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) while engaging in the import of gasoline and wheat. The SRC has identified that due to various manipulations, taxes owed to the state budget have not been paid, according to 'Hraparak.'
The first violation ended with the restoration of damages—after the initiation of a criminal case in the SRC's investigative department, Narek Nalbandyan compensated for the harm caused to the state. However, some time later, he resumed deceiving the state, prompting the SRC to initiate proceedings that could even lead to detention.
The media outlet reports this story, referring to its sources, as it has not received any information from the SRC, the Investigative Committee, or the Prosecutor's Office.
In a conversation with the media, the SRC indicated that due to operational intelligence measures last year, it was revealed that the 'Project Inter-Invest' company had caused a loss of 1 billion 496 million 769 thousand drams to the state by evading taxes. A criminal case was initiated regarding this matter, which concluded with the recovery of damages.
