EU Expresses Regret and Calls for Investigation into Incident in Nagorno-Karabakh

Brussels has expressed sorrow over the outbreak of violence along the line of contact, which resulted in at least five fatalities. This was stated in a comment by the EU's foreign policy service in relation to the Azerbaijani diversion in Artsakh.

"The circumstances of this incident that took human lives must be thoroughly investigated. We call on all concerned parties to exercise restraint to prevent any further actions that could destabilize the region and threaten the peace process," the statement read.

It is reminded that on the morning of March 5, around 10:00 AM, a group of Azerbaijani forces targeted and opened fire on the vehicle of the police department’s passport and visa service during a staff change in an area known as 'Khaypalou.' Three police officers were killed, and one was injured. Baku, on its part, reported the death of two Azerbaijani servicemen.
