Working Group Established to Discuss Humanitarian Issues with Azerbaijan: Artsakh Security Council
According to reports, on March 1 at 11:00 AM, a meeting took place at the command post of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Artsakh, facilitated by the command of the peacekeeping contingent. The meeting included the participation of Major General Andrey Volkov and members of a working group formed by Azerbaijan, headed by MP Ramin Mamedov of the Milli Majlis.
During the trilateral meeting held on March 1, four main issues were discussed. One topic was ensuring uninterrupted supplies of natural gas to Artsakh and excluding further gas disruptions. The restoration of electricity supply to Artsakh was also a focus, specifically looking at the inspection of the only high-voltage line from Armenia to Artsakh that is under the control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, and the possibility of rehabilitation work being carried out by experts from Artsakhenergo.
Furthermore, the organization of a one-time visual inspection by an Azerbaijani professional group in the Kashen and Drmbon mining areas and issues related to the complete opening of the Stepanakert-Goris highway were also discussed.
During his opening remarks, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces, Alexander Volkov, presented the participants in the meeting as representatives of the Republic of Artsakh and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
