Establish Volunteer Groups in the Shortest Time Possible: Deputy Prime Minister of Artsakh Explains Why
The Deputy Prime Minister of Artsakh, Gurgen Nersisyan, has urged the youth, students, and civil society organizations to establish volunteer groups in the shortest time possible to support the implementation of state-sponsored programs. This was reported by the Artsakh Information Headquarters.
In the appeal, it is stated: “Dear young people, students, and representatives of civil society organizations, it has been about three months since Azerbaijan blocked the only road connecting Armenia to Artsakh. We are under blockade and living under extraordinary conditions and regime. The state is taking all possible measures to alleviate the consequences of the blockade and to meet the minimum needs of society. During this time, various works are being carried out, to which the community can also provide support.
I find it unacceptable that humanitarian cargo is brought to Artsakh under blockade, for which the state has to spend financial resources to unload, load, package, and deliver to the beneficiaries. Of course, the state has a positive obligation to ensure the rights of citizens, but the Republic of Artsakh is our large family, and just like in our families, the possibilities in the state are not unlimited, and savings and the consolidation of efforts are now a pressing necessity.
I plan to meet with the civil society organizations operating in Artsakh soon, but before that, I appeal to everyone—youth, students. I ask and urge you to form volunteer groups in the shortest time possible and bring your contribution and support to the execution of state-sponsored programs. By doing so, you will not only ensure a public benefit result but also contribute to our internal awakening and unity, and the consolidation and unification of our strengths and capabilities.
We are waiting for your responses. For necessary information, you can contact the Office of the Minister of State of the Republic of Artsakh at (047) 95 10 55 or write to [email protected].
