Brusov State University Chancellor's Consultant's Hooliganism Case Sent to Court
The criminal case initiated in connection with the alleged hooliganism that occurred during the elections for the Chancellor of Brusov State University has been sent to court with an indictment on March 1, 2023.
It is noteworthy that a criminal case was initiated in the Investigation Department of Yerevan's Central and Norq-Marash administrative districts based on a report regarding hooliganism that took place in the university's administrative building during the chancellor's elections on December 9, 2022, under Article 297, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism).
The investigation revealed that G.T., serving as the chief consultant to the Chancellor of Brusov State University, exhibited disrespect towards society and openly disregarded legal and moral norms by loudly uttering obscene expressions and insults in the university's administrative building.
On December 27, 2022, the supervising prosecutor initiated criminal proceedings against G.T., with measures including a prohibition on leaving the country and suspension from office put in place.
