Karbi Residents Throw Police Officer from Second Floor

Last night, an extraordinary incident occurred in the village of Karbi, part of the enlarged community of Ashtarak, according to hraparak.am. A police officer attempted to break into several apartments to commit theft, but the residents managed to thwart his intrusion and beat him severely, resulting in his hospitalization. There are reports that they threw the officer from the second floor.

The information was attempted to be confirmed by the Karbi community administration. A staff member responded to an inquiry by stating, “Sorry, we cannot provide any information.” When asked whether they were denying the occurrence of the incident, the staff member replied with a half-laugh, “Well, I don’t know, but in any case, please contact the police; we cannot provide any information.” The publication notes that this means the staff member did not deny that an incident took place.
