The Detention of Mikayel Arzumanyan Extended
The detention period of former Artsakh Defense Army commander Mikayel Arzumanyan has been extended. The court has approved a request to prolong his detention for an additional two months. This information was reported to "Factinfo" by the Investigative Committee.
It is noteworthy that Mikayel Arzumanyan was arrested on August 30, accused of misconduct in the organization of defense in the city of Shushi and surrounding areas.
According to the Investigative Committee, the Lieutenant General displayed negligence in fulfilling his official duties during the organization of defense in Shushi and surrounding areas from October 30 to November 9, 2020, failing to perform or properly execute them, which inadvertently led to grave consequences.
On August 31, the detention period for Arzumanyan expired and he was released, but a motion for his detention was submitted to the court. On September 1, Arzumanyan was re-detained.
