EU Mission's First Phase Was Coordinated with Us, Second Phase Was Not: Bayramov

The first phase of the EU mission was coordinated with us, having a two-month duration. The mission did not achieve its goals—strengthening trust and providing support on delimitation issues. However, the transition to the second phase of the mission occurred in violation of the established agreements.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.

Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, referring to the EU observational mission, noted that the EU's observation mission in Armenia raises serious doubts about its legitimacy. It brings up numerous questions, including those concerning its functions, mandate, duration, and the efforts made towards resolving the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Earlier, it was reported that the Russian Foreign Minister had arrived in Baku on an official visit.
