VIDEO: Evacuation Underway at Moscow Metro Station Due to Smoke

Moscow metro employees have begun an evacuation at the "Sportivnaya" station due to smoke, local emergency services report. There are no reports of injuries, according to RT.

Currently, rescuers are working to eliminate the smoke from the train at the station, and a firefighting headquarters has been organized, the ministry reports.

An emergency service representative stated that there was a short circuit of electric cables in the station, even without a fire.

The Moscow Department of Transport mentioned on its Telegram channel that trains moving from the center are passing the station without stopping. “The fire occurred due to issues with an electric motor, and no passengers were injured,” the message said.
