Police Now Roughly Remove Our Property: What a Former Resident of the Ministry of Defense Building Says
Police are currently removing the belongings of citizens who were evicted from the former Ministry of Defense building ten days ago. Resident Rouzanna Poghosyan shared this information in a conversation with NEWS.am today, February 27.
“We were given ten days to move our belongings, but we have nowhere to take them. The police are now roughly taking out our property, and we can't even get close. They told us that they would take it to some structure near the State Revenue Committee, and that we should go there to retrieve it, but how are we supposed to get there? We agree to let them take it; we can store it in tents, but right now we are in an uncertain situation,” said Rouzanna Poghosyan.
It should be noted that on February 16, based on a document from the State Revenue Committee, the police removed residents from these buildings demanding the termination of illegal occupation. That day, 26 individuals were detained under Article 182 of the Administrative Offences Code of the Republic of Armenia (failure to comply with the legal request of a police officer or law enforcement officer).
