Kyiv Controls About One Third of the Ukrainian Black Sea Area: Neizhpapa

Today, 25,000 square kilometers of the Black Sea's Ukrainian area is a gray zone, where Russian ships do not enter for fear of destruction. This statement was made by the commander of Ukraine's naval forces, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, according to the Russian service of the BBC.

He noted that "this area is equivalent to the combined territories of Odesa and Kharkiv regions," although actually each of these regions exceeds 30,000 square kilometers in size.

"In the first days of the large-scale invasion, we could see the Russian invaders near Odesa in the sea with the naked eye, but now they no longer approach our controlled shores," the vice admiral said.

According to Neizhpapa, Ukraine overall owns "more than 70,000 square kilometers" in the Black Sea, which means that an area more than twice the size of the "gray zone" needs to be liberated.
