Kazakhstan's Defense Ministry Denies Sending Armored Vehicles to Ukraine
The information circulating on social media about the transfer of military equipment from Kazakhstan to Ukraine does not correspond to reality, stated Kazakhstan's Defense Ministry on its Telegram channel.
The ministry emphasized that the video of military equipment being transported to Ukraine is actually archival footage, recorded while sending armored vehicles for scheduled maintenance. “Currently, they are stored in the warehouse,” assured the Republic's defense administration.
Additionally, Kazakhstan's Defense Ministry reminded that since August 27, 2022, authorities in the country have prohibited the export of any weapons and military equipment. The ministry published a similar denial in September 2022 when the same video about the transfer of weapons was circulating on social media. At that time, social media users claimed that military equipment was being transferred to Russia with the agreement of the presidents of the two countries, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vladimir Putin.
