Dead Body of Lichk Community Leader Found in Private Home

At around 03:00, the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Martuni police station received a call from the Martuni medical center, stating that an ambulance had been dispatched to a house in the village of Lichk, where a man's body had been discovered.

Police and investigators determined that the deceased was 66-year-old Hayk Hovhikyan, the administrative head of the Lichk community, who had suddenly passed away in his private home around 02:45 on the same day.

According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, no traces of violence were found on the body. A criminal case has been initiated in the Gegharkunik regional investigation department with indications of murder.
