The first Leopard 2 tanks from Poland have arrived in Ukraine, announced Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak during a meeting of Poland's National Security Council on Friday.
"The Polish Leopard tanks have already reached Ukraine," quoted Radio ZET the minister's words. This information has been confirmed by Mateusz Morawiecki, the head of the Polish government, who is currently in Kyiv.
"Poland is handing over the first four Leopard 2 A4 tanks to Ukraine; we will soon deliver more," Morawiecki's words were quoted by Polish radio.
It is noted that Poland has promised to transfer a total of 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
