Russian Defense Ministry on the Situation Around the Lachin Corridor in Artsakh

The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to fulfill its tasks in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It was noted that the Russian peacekeepers' command continues the negotiation process with the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides regarding the resumption of the unhindered movement of vehicles along the Stepanakert-Goris road.

“A humanitarian convoy was escorted along the Goris-Stepanakert route. Patrols have been carried out along three routes in the Martakert, Martuni, and Shusha regions. The engineer-sapper teams of the Russian peacekeeping contingent continue to clear objects and the terrain of mines. During the day, an area of 0.7 hectares was cleared, and 2 explosive objects were discovered and neutralized.

To ensure the safety of Russian peacekeepers and prevent potential incidents, ongoing cooperation with the general staffs of the Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces is being maintained,” the statement said.
