CIA Hired Divers to Blow Up Nord Stream Gas Pipelines, Hersh

Journalist Seymour Hersh, who authored the investigation into the terrorist attack on the Nord Stream gas pipelines, shared new details about the preparations for the pipelines' sabotage during an interview with the Democracy Now portal, as reported by Readovka.

According to him, the CIA prepared divers for the pipeline explosion. Specifically, before the series of attacks on the pipelines, the CIA supplied a Norwegian ship with a decompression chamber for the divers to descend to great depths. “The diving level for submarines is 260 feet (79 meters). The Norwegians found the lowest point in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Denmark. And they trained there. The pipelines are covered with concrete slabs. So, blowing them up is serious work,” the journalist emphasized, noting that the explosives were placed at an exact depth of 260 feet.

Additionally, Hersh dismissed the Norwegian government’s claims of non-involvement in the operation as “ridiculous lies.”
