US to Announce New Sanctions Package Against Russia on February 24

The United States will announce a new sanctions package against Russia tomorrow, February 24. This was stated by Victoria Nuland, the Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs.

“Tomorrow, not only will the US announce a new sanctions package, but all members of the G7 will as well,” she said in an interview with The Washington Post.

According to Nuland, restrictions will also be applied to Chinese companies that, according to Washington, support the Russian Federation. Additionally, these measures will pertain to additional Russian banks related to circumventing sanctions.
