Europe Has Lost Its Independence and Military Power Due to the War in Ukraine: Orban

Europe is losing its independence due to the Ukrainian conflict and the willingness of the U.S. administration to impose its interests on Brussels. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

“In less than a year, Europe has lost its independence, economic and military power,” Orban's words were quoted by Magyar Nemzet.

The Hungarian Prime Minister noted that the “tsunami of sanctions” is having a devastating impact on the EU economy, while the military capability of the Union countries has weakened after sending weapons to Ukraine. This was mentioned by the head of the Hungarian government during a meeting with lawmakers at Lake Balaton.

Earlier, Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that Hungary is the only country in the EU and NATO that does not support the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine. He emphasized that his country intends to maintain economic relations with Russia and called on allies to follow this example.
