Ukraine Plans to Repay All Loans in 35 Years
Ukraine will require nearly three decades to repay all loans provided to the country by the European Union, reports the УНН agency. According to Deputy Finance Minister Olga Zikova, Kyiv is committed to repaying the debts in an “absolutely equal” manner.
“The EU provides conditions such that the loan repayment term will be 35 years, and the interest will be covered by our European partners instead of Ukraine. This is an example of how partners are understanding of our country’s debt burden,” said Zikova.
She noted that the distribution of loan repayments must be “absolutely equal.” Additionally, in 2023, Ukraine anticipates receiving new grant and loan resources and is working to ensure that their ratio is the same as last year.
Zikova indicated that an additional $10 billion in grants will be provided to Ukraine this year.
