Azerbaijani Residents Steal Iron Bridge Connecting Their Villages

Azerbaijan's police have received information regarding the theft of the metal structure of the bridge connecting the village of Chaily with the village of Yolgulular in Goranboy. This has been reported by Azerbaijani media outlets.

Law enforcement officials have detained residents of the Shemkir region: Ilkin Kamalzade, Khayal Aliyev, Elgun Mamedov, and Shukr Babayev from the Goranboy region on suspicion of committing the crime.

The detainees confessed to dismantling the iron bridge with the intent of selling it later.

An investigation is underway at the Goygol regional police department.
