Police Officers Involved in Assaulting Lawyers Dismissed from Their Positions

Former President of the Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrapyan posted on his Facebook page: “The operatives of the criminal investigation department of the Erebuni division involved in the incident of assaulting lawyers, Martun Yeghiazaryan and Vahe Papoyan, have been dismissed from their positions. I am glad that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has shown a constructive and fair stance. A lawyer must be protected in any environment, particularly in police stations. We will continue to keep this issue under close scrutiny, including the progress of the criminal case.”
