Iran Ready to Host '3+3' Format Meeting in Tehran

Iran is prepared to hold a '3+3' format meeting in Tehran with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. This was announced by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian during a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.

Amir-Abdollahian also emphasized the necessity of regional cooperation. It is worth noting that the first meeting of the '3+3' regional consultation platform was held in Moscow in early December 2021, co-chaired by the deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Georgia has still refrained from joining this platform.
