Investigative Committee to Appeal to Court for Fourth Time in Case of Former Military Commander Mikayel Arzumanyan
According to the "Zhoghovurd" daily, the Investigative Committee of Armenia will appeal to the court for the fourth time, seeking to extend the detention of former Military Commandant Mikayel Arzumanyan.
Recall that on September 1, 2022, the Prosecutor's Office announced that charges had been filed against Mikayel Arzumanyan, former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army and adviser to the President of Artsakh. He is accused of ordering the personnel who liberated the strategically important "Arega" height and surrounding combat positions to "retreat" during the 2020 Artsakh war.
Arzumanyan was detained on September 1 and has been in custody ever since. The case is currently in an active confrontation phase.
