Germany's Foreign Ministry Advises Citizens Against Traveling to Russia
Germany's Foreign Ministry has advised its citizens not to travel to Russia amid the backdrop of planned 'events' there. The ministry has urged citizens to cancel trips to Russia and those already in the country to exercise caution.
“From February 20 to February 26, 2023, the Russian government is set to hold a series of events (including holidays on February 23 and 24). Please be especially alert and careful. In particular, avoid large gatherings of people,” the statement from Germany's Foreign Ministry reads.
On February 13, the U.S. Embassy in Russia issued similar advisories, recommending Americans already in the country to leave.
