VIDEO: North Korea Fires Three Missiles into the Sea of Japan
North Korea has fired three missiles into the Sea of Japan. This was reported by the Yonhap news agency. It is presumed to have been a ballistic missile launch.
The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force confirmed the information about the launch of three missiles from North Korea. “Presumably, the ballistic missiles have already fallen. We request air and sea vessels to monitor the information and, in the event of debris falling, to report to the maritime security service without approaching the fragments,” the message stated.
Following this incident, Japan's Air Self-Defense Force and the U.S. Air Force conducted joint exercises involving combat aircraft.
In its response, North Korea has released a video of the launch of the Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). It is believed that this missile could reach the mainland United States. However, in this instance, it flew significantly less, landing 200 km west of Hokkaido Island.
