Soldiers May Have Died Before the Fire, Lawyer Claims

The soldiers who died in the military barracks of Azat village may have lost their lives before the fire broke out. This was stated by lawyer Norayr Norikyan, representing the interests of the deceased soldiers' heirs, during a protest held this morning near the Ministry of Defense.

“I suggest that the Minister of Defense, the Prime Minister, and all those ministers go to Azat village, reconstruct the timeline of events, and try to understand how the soldiers could have remained asleep during the fire, amidst such pain and chaos. Yes, there is a possibility that the children had already died before the fire erupted,” he remarked.

Norikyan also mentioned that a key question remains as to how two soldiers managed to escape from the burning barracks while the others did not within a span of 15 to 20 minutes. “We need to understand what preceded the fire; the devil is in the details,” he added.
