North Korea's New Missile Tests Pose Threat to Global Security: UK
On Monday, North Korea's latest missile tests pose a threat to global security. This is stated in a statement released by the UK Foreign Office, which has urged Pyongyang to return to dialogue on nuclear disarmament. This was reported by TASS.
“The launch of ballistic missiles by North Korea on February 20 contradicts several resolutions of the UN Security Council. The continued testing of ballistic missile technology by North Korea poses a danger to our regional partners and global security,” the agency's statement reads.
The United Kingdom continues to work closely with its partners to return to dialogue and take decisive steps towards denuclearization.
North Korean military officials launched two missiles from a super-large multiple launch rocket system on Monday morning, as previously reported by the Korean Central News Agency. These weapons have been classified as offensive tactical nuclear weapons. On February 18, a Hwaseong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile was launched during exercises.
