For Him, It Will Mean the End and Death for Many Belarusians: Poland's President to Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko must understand that his country's involvement in the Ukrainian conflict will signify "the end" for him, as the Belarusian people will largely oppose him. This was stated by Polish President Andrzej Duda in an interview with the Ukrainian TV channel "1 + 1."

"Firstly, it means death for many Belarusians who lack combat experience and suddenly confront poorly armed Ukrainians, who have been fighting for years and possess great determination to defend their homeland. Secondly, Belarusians are not a warring nation and do not wish to fight. Lukashenko is well aware that this will mean the end for him, as the people, in my opinion, will practically rise up against him with full force," Duda said.

He believes that Lukashenko's statements about Poland allegedly claiming Belarusian and Ukrainian territories are attempts to incite the peoples against each other. "This is all Russian propaganda that we have been dealing with for several years. Poland has never made any claims against anyone. We want to live in peace and tranquility," concluded the President of Poland.
