Zahharova Comments on Macron's Words about Unacceptability of Russia's Defeat
The rhetoric of French President Emmanuel Macron regarding the peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian conflict does not align with his statements about the unacceptability of Russia's victory and the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian armed forces. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in her Telegram channel while commenting on Macron's remarks about the unacceptability of Russia's defeat.
“France is a NATO member. The alliance has defined Russia as an adversary in all its documents. Paris may have resisted, but it has been unable to do anything and showed solidarity with it. The supply of weapons against the backdrop of statements about the unacceptability of Russia's victory leaves no logical conclusion except for one thing — they want us to lose,” Zakharova noted.
It is worth recalling that French President Emmanuel Macron had stated that his country has never advocated for and will not promote Russia's defeat.
