Residents of Former Ministry of Defense Building Allowed to Set Up Temporary Tents: Human Rights Defender

The Human Rights Defender's rapid response team visited individuals residing in the former Ministry of Defense building. The residents presented their concerns and issues to the representatives of the Human Rights Defender, including questions related to their living conditions and basic necessities.

The identified problems and concerns raised by individuals have been summarized in the Defender's office, and a relevant letter has been sent to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

On the evening of February 17, another visit was conducted under the leadership of the Acting Human Rights Defender. Residents of the former Ministry of Defense building reported that they were unable to set up tents and carry out their protest action. Representatives of the Human Rights Defender became acquainted with the issues on site, and the matter of tent installation was discussed with police representatives. As a result, an agreement was reached to allow individuals to set up temporary tents.
