Moses Hakobyan Responds to Sasun Mikayelyan's Comments: 'His Evaluations Mean Nothing to Me'

The head of the Union of Volunteer Militias, Sasun Mikayelyan, discussed Moses Hakobyan during a broadcast on H1, stating, "Moses Hakobyan, you became the collector of green money for the army." This statement has sparked intense discussions, to which former Chief of Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces and General-Major Moses Hakobyan responded in an interview with NEWS.am.

"Sasun Mikayelyan's evaluations mean nothing to me. How can a person who lacks the necessary skills and knowledge provide an evaluation? All of his evaluations have led to criminal cases being opened; let them call the prime minister for questioning and refute that. They don’t seem to know that it’s not right to constantly criticize the army," he said, noting that these statements are made with a specific agenda.

Addressing accusations from Sasun Mikayelyan regarding his failure to visit Artsakh, frequent stays in Tsaghkadzor, and living on Northern Avenue, Hakobyan added, "I am glad that they are watching me closely, but they are not paying attention correctly. Their leader has made great efforts for me not to go to Artsakh, even during the war. However, during my free time from the court, I will be there; I am a citizen of Artsakh, not a citizen of Armenia. The citizen of Artsakh is being judged here."

Responding to Mikayelyan's allegations against generals regarding theft, Hakobyan stated, "If he had any courage to accuse of theft, he should have named names."
