Iran Accused of Supporting Terrorism and Proliferating Nuclear Weapons Worldwide

The official representative of Iran's Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani, has stated that despite existing political pressures, Iran will continue its program for the peaceful use of nuclear energy and constructive cooperation with the IAEA. This was reported by Sputnik Armenia, citing the Iranian mehrnews.com.

Kanaani made this declaration in response to a joint statement from the United States and the Gulf Cooperation Council. "During the so-called 'Working Group on Iran' meeting, an openly anti-Iranian statement was made by officials from the U.S. and the Gulf Cooperation Council. They accused Iran of pursuing destabilizing policies, supporting terrorism, and proliferating nuclear weapons worldwide," the site stated.

Earlier, the IAEA had expressed criticism, stating that the Iranian authorities had modified uranium enrichment technology to 60 percent without notification. Following this, the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Mohamad Eslami, announced that there were inaccuracies in the IAEA's report, and Iran has provided its clarifications to the organization.
