Death Toll from Earthquake in Turkey Rises: New Data
The death toll from the earthquake in Turkey has reached 40,642. At the same time, rescuers continue to extract both survivors and deceased from the rubble. Many remain missing, and the number of casualties is expected to rise.
In total, 45,000 people have died as a result of the earthquake that occurred in Turkey and Syria.
