11,000 Foreign Rescuers Involved in Debris Removal Operations in Turkey

The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has announced that rescuers from 88 countries have been directly involved in debris removal operations following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey.

“In total, 102 countries have offered us assistance, and representatives of the rescue services from 88 have directly participated in the search and rescue operations in our country. Teams of specialists from 23 countries have completed their missions and returned home. The rest are continuing to work in Turkey,” he said.

Çavuşoğlu added that more than 11,000 foreign rescuers have arrived in the republic, of whom 5,300 are still clearing debris.
