Teeth Must Be Shown: Zatulin on Assistance Sent from Baku to Kyiv
Russia must respond to the support directed towards Ukraine by its CIS partners. This statement was made by Konstantin Zatulin, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma’s Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, during a broadcast on the 'Govorít Moskva' radio station.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the President of Azerbaijan for the support and humanitarian aid provided.
'Azerbaijan is supplying weapons to Ukraine, including mines produced in 2022, and we are turning a blind eye to this. We are forced to turn a blind eye because we do not want escalation. We are trying to hold the line, but we must occasionally show our teeth,' Zatulin said.
The politician is convinced that Russia will no longer be respected if Moscow does not respond to the support extended to Ukraine by neighboring states. 'I am not only talking about Azerbaijan but also about Kazakhstan and all the others,' he added.
Earlier reports indicated that Azerbaijan supplied Ukraine with 120 mm mines produced last year.
