Iran Sends 6 Tons of Aid to Turkey

The aid prepared by Tabriz Medical University has arrived in Turkey for the regions affected by the earthquake. The organization of humanitarian assistance involved the Consul General of Turkey in Tabriz, Chetin Taner, the rector of the university, and students. This was reported by Ermenihaber.

“We are coordinating the aid from Tabriz. Our friendly Iranian state and people did not hesitate to provide assistance immediately after the earthquake,” Taner said. He also noted that the memories of the 5.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Iran's Khoy are still fresh in the minds of the Iranian people, and thus, this aid to Turkey is seen as logical from the Iranian side.

“This aid will be delivered to Turkey in the shortest possible time. Efforts to collect aid are still underway in Tehran and Tabriz. We are very grateful,” Taner added.
