Investigation Against Armen Charachyan Concluded, Says Lawyer
The investigation against Armenian National Assembly member and professor Armen Charachyan has concluded, according to his lawyer Eric Alexanyan, who announced the news on his Facebook page.
Alexanyan stated that all materials related to the criminal case (14 volumes) have been provided to the defense. It is noteworthy that on February 9, the National Assembly of Armenia granted permission for criminal prosecution against Armen Charachyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction and the former director of Izmirlian Medical Center, through a secret ballot.
A restriction on his absence has been chosen as a measure of restraint against Charachyan. According to the prosecutor's office, Charachyan allegedly provided an obviously false conclusion as part of the medical examination commission investigating Arthur Sargsyan, known as the 'Bread Bringer's.'
Armen Charachyan has denied the accusations leveled against him, describing them as manifestly unfounded and illegal.
