Criminal Case Initiated Against Vitaly Balasanyan

A criminal case has been initiated against former Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh, Vitaly Balasanyan, as reported by Artsakh parliament member Metakse Hakobyan to Armenia Today.

According to earlier media reports, the criminal case is related to alleged abuses that occurred during his term in office. The media outlet stated that the case may soon obtain procedural status.

To review the materials of the case, it is necessary for parliament members to send relevant inquiries to the Prosecutor General's Office.

“This will take a long time. Nevertheless, the current government's approach is not new to us. Both the authorities of Armenia, led by Nikol Pashinyan, and the authorities of Artsakh, headed by Araik Harutyunyan, simply want to discredit Vitaly Balasanyan. But not just him,” the parliamentarian stated.
