Rubinyan Summarizes Results of Meeting Between Armenia and Turkey's Foreign Ministers in Ankara
Rub Ruben Rubinyan, Armenia's special representative in the negotiations for the normalization of relations with Turkey, has summarized the outcomes of the meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Turkey held in Ankara. This was reported by Armenpress.
Rubinyan emphasized that an agreement was reached during the meeting to restore the Ani Bridge. “Today, Ararat Mirzoyan and I visited Ankara and met with the Turkish foreign minister. It was agreed that the Ani Bridge, part of which is located in Armenia and the other part in Turkey, will be restored through joint efforts,” Rubinyan stated.
Addressing the issue of the Margara Bridge, Rubinyan highlighted that it has already been proven through experience that this bridge is in good condition, stressing that during the meeting in Ankara, an agreement was reached to expedite the process in this direction.
When asked if any upcoming meetings have been scheduled, Rubinyan replied, “No, not at this point.” Regarding whether there will be reciprocal visits related to the upcoming matches of the national football teams of Armenia and Turkey, Rubinyan stated that there are currently no such agreements.
