Pensioner with Disabilities Rescues Boys Trapped in Ice in Russia
In the city of Novorossiysk, Russia, children fell through thin ice while walking on it. An elderly man succeeded in rescuing them, as reported by the city’s mayor, Andrei Kravchenko, on his Telegram channel.
“Everything happened within a matter of minutes. One of the boys managed to get out onto the ice, walked a few meters, and fell into the water. His friend rushed to help him, but he also fell in. The 62-year-old pensioner saw what was happening from the shore and managed to pull the boys out of the water,” the mayor wrote.
Kravchenko also added, “At 62, living with a disability, he immediately rushed to save the boys. He was able to bring the children to the shore. Another man assisted them in getting out of the water.”
