5.7 Magnitude Earthquake Recorded in Romania
On February 14, a 5.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded in southwestern Romania. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, referencing the Romanian National Institute for Earth Physics.
According to the report, Romanian seismologists had already recorded a 5.2 magnitude earthquake on February 13, with its epicenter located in Gorj County in the southwest of the country. “On February 14, at 15:16, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 occurred at a depth of 40 km,” stated the institute’s website.
No information on casualties or damages has been reported. The earthquake was felt not only in the capital of Romania but also in neighboring Moldova.
