There is a phenomenon in Yerevan that we cannot find a way to combat – Kamo Areyan
During a procedural meeting held at the Yerevan city hall today, February 13, the issue of icy roads in Yerevan was discussed. The mayor's advisor, Kamo Areyan, indicated that numerous complaints had been received.
“I wouldn’t have intervened if it weren’t for the 15 strange complaints regarding ice on the roads; it hasn’t snowed in the city, all the roads have been treated. I believe such complaints can arise because there has been a phenomenon wandering in Yerevan for years, and we still cannot find a way to combat this brazen behavior. All car wash spots, all shops selling live fish, vehicles transporting live fish, and all trade facilities, especially car washes, are letting water flow into the streets during the daytime. With the sufficiently low temperatures at night, this creates icy conditions,” stated Kamo Areyan.
