Video: Wall of House Lands on Parked Cars; Death Toll in Turkey and Syria Reaches 30,000
Video footage from Turkey's Hatay province shows a wall from a house that somehow landed directly on parked cars and remains in that position. This was reported by Lenta Dnya.
As per details provided in the video, following the earthquakes that struck ten provinces in Turkey on February 6, nearly 8,000 buildings are deemed urgent for demolition, according to the country's Ministry of Urban Development and Environment.
The agency has inspected over 132,000 buildings, of which nearly 8,000 have collapsed or require immediate demolition. Additionally, another 12,000 houses are uninhabitable.
In connection with the construction regulation violations resulting from the earthquake in Turkey, 131 individuals are under investigation, with some already wanted by the authorities, and one has been arrested.
Furthermore, the death toll from the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria is nearing 30,000.
